Joe Assell - Co-Founder and CEO, GOLFTEC

Joe Assell co-founded GolfTEC Enterprises LLC and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Assell oversees multiple divisions within GolfTEC including franchising, technology and finance. Joe has provided the leadership and skill necessary to grow GolfTEC to its current level, often at rates eclipsing 50% annually. GolfTEC began with one employee (which was Joe!) and $90,000 in sales in 1995, and now operates over 200 training facilities in six countries.

Mr. Assell has been recognized with numerous awards including the Denver Business Journal Top 40 under 40, Golfweek Magazine Top 40 under 40, Colorado PGA Teacher of the Year and being named a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado PGA and is on the Associate Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. In addition, Joe is one of over 600 PGA Professionals currently employed by GolfTEC and he graduated cum laude with B.B.A. in Marketing from the Professional Golf Management Program at Mississippi State University and won their Young Alumni of the Year award in 2002.
