Meghann Butcher, Founder & CEO of RepSpark
Special guest
Meghann Butcher is the Founder & CEO of RepSpark, the B2B wholesale commerce platform that the PGA of America has recognized as "the commerce layer of golf." A graduate of Vanderbilt University with a BA in Psychology and Communications, Meghann began her career in the action sports industry, where she saw sales reps still writing orders on pads of paper and recognized a better way. What started as WebRep - a tool to help reps place orders digitally - evolved into RepSpark, a two-sided marketplace that now connects hundreds of thousands of buyers with golf and outdoor lifestyle brands across apparel, footwear, accessories, and hard goods. Under her leadership, RepSpark has become the dominant wholesale platform in golf, supporting enterprise brands like Peter Millar and Johnny O while also leveling the playing field for up-and-coming brands through tiered offerings and digital microsites.
A self-described risk-taker who is "not the strongest golf player" (though she hopes to change that once her three boys are grown), Meghann's first golf experience was dating her now-husband, who took her to a club and insisted she wear a collared shirt - something she didn't own, having grown up in a casual, beach-oriented action sports family. That moment of walking into a pro shop and seeing an entirely different world of apparel sparked a curiosity that has never faded. Nearly two decades later, she remains energized by the golf market's expansion, the rise of new brands entering the space, and the opportunity to make life easier for the PGA professionals and merchandisers who run green grass retail.
Meghann credits her psychology background as her greatest entrepreneurial asset. More valuable, she says, than any technical training. "You're really listening to somebody. You're listening to what they need. You're listening to how they're saying it," she explains. That human-centric approach has shaped RepSpark's culture, its customer relationships, and its product roadmap, which now includes AI-powered predictive ordering, intelligent order organization, and multi-variate club configuration. When asked what it takes to succeed as a founder, she offers a memorable analogy from her travels: running with the bulls in Pamplona. "You get launched over a barrier and now you're running and everybody's yelling and you just have to get there and you have to tune it out. You have a path where you're going, but you are just going."
